A Little News About No One You Know & The New York Mandate Podcast
First, thank you to everyone who has been following and sharing my work. I'm starting to publish paid-subscriber articles, adding more video reporting, and expanding my social media reach.
Hello, everyone!
Subscribers may have noticed a few changes to my Substack recently, so I thought I’d send you all a little note about them. I very much appreciate all of you who have been following, sharing, and commenting on my work, and I want to keep you in the loop.
I’ve started publishing articles for paid subscribers, like the one I published yesterday (that one is actually available for free on a trial basis right now). There’s a lot more documentary and investigative work I would like to do, and in order to have the time to do it, I need to build a base of support. I am fully independent and do not have funding from any organization.
So if you think the work I’m doing is valuable and can support it with a paid subscription, please consider doing that. A subscription costs $50 a year or $5 a month. If you’re part of the small group of people who have paid for a subscription already, you have my heartfelt thanks. You’re supporting not only paid content but all of the work I do.
The New York Mandate Podcast will remain free. I appreciate all of the people who speak with me about how their lives have been changed by mandates, and I think they deserve to be heard by as large an audience as possible.
I’m bringing more of my video reporting to Substack, publishing it in the Notes and Video Reporting sections of No One You Know. You can also find it on my reporting channel, NYCforYourself, which is available on YouTube and Rumble, but I’ll be pulling it into Substack so that people can find all of the work I’m doing in one place. My video reporting is free for everyone to view and share (but it won’t come to you via email, so as not to overwhelm your inbox).
The New York Mandate Podcast is on Facebook now to make it easier for people to share my work on that platform. You can also follow me on Twitter and Instagram: @noykreport for tweets from No One You Know and @nycforyourself for livestreaming, street interviews, and other on-the-ground video reporting.
I launched the No One You Know Substack and the New York Mandate Podcast a little over a year ago, with the goal of covering how policies affect people. I’ve been focusing on vaccine mandates in New York because they were (and are) policies put in place without any democratic process that have had extreme consequences for many people.
The mandates and other pandemic policies raise fundamental questions about our government, our rights, and our society that are far from resolved. That’s why I’m continuing to focus on this issue.
There are other issues I’d like to delve into in the future, and if I can build a little support for my work, I’ll be doing that. So I hope you’ll all stick with me and consider supporting my work with a paid subscription if you can.
You are doing excellent work!
